In February the whole school took part in a competition organised by the registered charity “Show Racism the Red Card” It was a powerful and fun way to engage the staff, governors, parents and children’s interest in anti-racism.
The charity’s aims are to enable young children to understand the causes and consequences of racism using professional footballers as anti-racist role models. At school we focused on celebrating cultural diversity and developing our school’s ethos, “We Are All Different, We Are All Special, and We Can All Achieve.”
A poster made by six children in Penguin class was entered into the national competition and has been awarded a prize.
The children have been invited to an Award Ceremony at Stoke City Football Club on Tuesday 24th April.
We are very proud to win this competition again for the ninth time and very excited about the award ceremony.
